More balanced coverage
Big-lab names no longer dominate every headline — story selection now actively diversifies across companies, giving more visibility to smaller teams and independent research. Academic paper quick bites are capped to keep the mix practical. Headlines lead with the most newsworthy fact, and analyses close with sharper, more concrete takeaways.
Stability fixes
Fixed stray metadata text that occasionally appeared at the bottom of articles, and improved daily pipeline reliability to reduce the chance of a missing issue due to timeouts or sync problems.
Richer homepage previews
Each issue on the homepage now shows independently written summary lines instead of bare article titles, with bold lead phrases that let you scan the day's stories at a glance.
Better English covers
English cover images are now generated with English-language prompts, producing artwork that better matches each issue's headlines and looks more natural when shared on social media.
Terminology polish
AI-specific terms like "agent," "token," and "agentic" are now kept in English within Chinese articles, matching how the industry actually uses them.
RSS feed fix
Fixed several issues that prevented some RSS readers from subscribing properly. Cover illustrations now use a new image model with a slightly different art style.
Privacy policy
A bilingual privacy policy page has been added, outlining how the site handles data collection and usage. You can find it linked in the footer.
WeChat & richer emails
A WeChat Official Account QR code is now available in the nav bar and footer for easy following. Newsletter emails have been upgraded to include article summaries and quick bites inline, so you can skim the day's highlights without clicking through. Quick news items are now numbered with clearer source badges.
Slug URLs & font polish
Article URLs now include English keyword slugs for easier sharing and recognition. Chinese headings use a new serif typeface for more consistent rendering across devices. English lists now use the same pipe separator as Chinese, keeping both versions visually aligned.
Visual refresh & better writing
New favicon design for better brand recognition. An English methodology page has been added. Cover images are now bilingual, showing the matching language when shared on social media. Articles are numbered for easier reference, and cover images open in a lightbox when clicked.
Writing quality has improved across both languages — Chinese articles now read with a more natural, journalistic voice instead of mechanical summaries, and English editions are tighter and more polished throughout.
Bilingual site & email subscription
The site is now fully bilingual with a complete English version updated in sync with Chinese. A language toggle has been added to the nav bar for one-click switching.
Email subscriptions are live — daily digests delivered straight to your inbox. The About page has been replaced with a Methodology page that explains how stories are selected and edited. Each issue now includes a Sources page where you can browse all items considered for that day.
Rename & cover images
The site has been renamed to "AI Digest" to better reflect its focus. Each issue now features an AI-generated cover illustration, adding a touch of visual flair to daily reading.
More sources & better writing
The source pool has grown from a dozen to 21 feeds, adding official blogs from Anthropic, DeepMind, and Meta Engineering, plus outlets like 404 Media and One Useful Thing. Writing style has shifted from paper abstracts to magazine-style journalism with higher information density and better readability.
A new Quick Bites section presents noteworthy items beyond the main stories in short-form entries. Homepage cards now use a unified layout, and each issue title highlights a single focus instead of listing multiple topics.
